Thyme for sale

We now have fresh thyme ready for harvest.  Thyme is a great herb for salads, soups, sauces, ragouts, pizza and roasts.  Here's a favorite at our house that uses thyme: Bean and Bacon Soup.  Note that if a recipe calls for a dried herb, I usually multiply that amount by three to get the amount of fresh herb to use.

Siberian Kale	Lacinato "Dino" Kale	Sage
Cilantro	Muir Lettuce	Thyme

Did You Know?

In addition to making food taste great, thyme has also been used as an antidote for poison, a plague preventative, a symbol of bravery in battle and a stalwart companion to the grave (source).
