Another Way to Buy and Fresh Lettuce

Community Supported Agriculture
Community supported agriculture (CSA) is a way to partner with your local farmer to get regular fresh food for your kitchen.  You pay for a season's worth of food up front, then receive a bag of fresh produce every week (or every other week).  Peak City Gardens is part of a CSA here in the Springs called Pikes Peak Family Farms.  If you'd like a regular order from us, but find you'd like more variety than we can offer, then check out PPFF here: www.pikespeakfamilyfarms.com.  You choose from the offerings of three farms and two local food companies, indicating each week what you would like in your bag of local food.

Did you know?
It is estimated that the average American meal travels about 1500 miles to get from farm to plate (source).
